Applications are welcomed from Indian nationals coming from reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC, EWS and PwD (VH, OH, HH)) under unique recruitment drive for the post of Assistant Professor in the Departments of Aerospace Engineering, Biological Sciences and Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Cognitive Science, Computer Science and Engineering, Design, Earth Sciences, Economic Sciences, Electrical Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences, Management Sciences, Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, employment Mathematics and Statistics, employment Physics, Space, employment Planetary & Astronomical Sciences & Engineering (SPASE), Sustainable Energy Engineering, and Kotak School of Sustainability.

Several Departments likewise take part in the teaching and research activities of interdisciplinary post-graduate programs in the institute in Photonics Science and Engineering and Materials Science Program. Minimum Qualification (Assistant Professor): Ph.D. with very first class or equivalent (in terms of grades, etc) at the preceding degree in the suitable branch, with a really good academic record in all preceding degrees. Other details:

1. The pay brings all other allowances as admissible to a Central Government staff member stationed at Kanpur.

2. The benefits, such as LTC, medical re-imbursement, transportation allowance, children education allowance, contribution towards New Pension System (NPS), re-imbursement of telephone costs, book grants, HRA (if housing not provided), research initiation grant (up to Rs 25 lakhs with the provision to make an application for a supplemental grant) and employment financial backing towards national and worldwide conferences shall be permitted based on the Institute standards.

3. From its internal resources, the Institute offers an extra top-up income of Rs 25,000/- each month for the first three years of service to the recently joined professors members. After 3 years of service, the professors member(s) are eligible for consideration for Young Faculty Fellowship (open for professors of age upto 40 years) supplying a top-up salary of Rs.15,000/- monthly for 3 years, and/or Faculty Chair positions supplying a top-up income of Rs 25,000/- per month for 3 years. Both the positions are provided based upon performance.

4. Traveling allowance for joining: The Institute will compensate global travel costs for the recently joined professors member and reliant household members to the optimum limitation of Rs. 1,50,000. Domestic travel repayment will be as per government guidelines.

5. The Institute strives to offer real estate to all members. The homes are geared up with free high-speed internet.

6. Mere eligibility will not entitle a prospect for being required interview.

7. Applicants who do not satisfy the minimum experience requirements might be used a consultation on agreement. The requirements of minimum certification and/or experience may be unwinded when it comes to prospects with impressive qualifications.

8. The Institute follows the reservation in direct recruitment according to the arrangements of the Central Educational Institutes (Reservation in Teachers’ Cadre) Act, 2019. The candidates are needed to send the Caste/ Category/ Disabilities Certificate released by the Competent Authority in the format recommended by the Government of India for this function. The Institute follows the Central list when it comes to SC/ST, OBC & PwD.

11. Applicants called for and appearing in interview will be paid to and employment fro economy air fare/train fare by the fastest route (within India) and taxi fare from Lucknow airport to IITK and back. Please keep in mind that the amount of fare will be remitted through electronic transfer by our Accounts Section after processing the claim. Local hospitality will be taken care of by the Institute.

12. Applicants who are employed in Government or Semi-Government Organizations will be required to produce a “NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE” from their employer at the time of the interview.
